I can only go to two games this season because of my college schedule. :\ Oh well, at least I get to go to some!!!

December 19th vs. Los Angeles Kings (Don't know much about this West Conference team at all)


January 6th vs. Ottawa (yes, the traditional Ottawa game I go to every season. It always seems to work out that way!)

And they are both 200 level, as usual....lolz~

So the Sabres season is going to be starting up soon and I am super excited! The season starts October 10, and I'm actually going to be back in Buffalo to watch the first game! I still am unsure of what games I am actually going to this season, because of my college schedule and all. Anyways, Lindy Ruff is coming to a store near my home in 2 weeks to do autograph signing. Unfortunately I won't be able to go back to Buffalo just for this, but my dad is going to go snag either an autographed picture or puck, so I'm excited about that!

Last night I went to one of the best hockey games this season! The Sabres have been losing the past couple of games and they completely owned one of the best teams in our conference last night, the Carolina Hurricanes. A few minutes into the game, we score! How sweet that felt! And then when the announcer was announcing that we scored, (First goal scored by numbe…..WAAAAAAA) the fog horn sounds for our second goal of the game. AMAZING!! We scored two more amazing goals during that period. During each goal, I screamed soooo loud! (my throat is really hurting today) OMG it felt so great. We scored two more unanswered goals in the 2nd period, and Caolina scored 1 in the 3rd, and we followed that up with one goal at the end. There were soooo many penalties called in this game. It was insane. I heard on the radio after that there were 80 minutes of penalties! Holy crap. The refs were calling EVERYTHING they saw. The best penalty was went the Carolina goalie spanked Danny Pallie in the ass! LMAO I was cracking up. One Carolina guy also got one for talking shit to Buffalo during a faceoff. haha. A funny thing was when the crowd said (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, WE WANT 6!!) after every goal hehe. Also, this one drunk lady in our section was making fun of the goalie and the other team and this other guy said, ‘that’s a third period alcohol rush’ LAMO! Another exciting part was when Max it the post on a -sort of wrap around- empty net! Awww Max, what were you doing? Our team also had a lot of rookies out on the ice, and they really stepped up!!!! A lot of our defensemen are out) This game was AMAZING and victory was so SWEET!!

Last night I went to the Buffalo Sabres vs. Ottawa game. They lost the game last night 3-5, but I still found it a very exciting game! We got downtown about 6pm. They even gave us free Sabres calenders when we walked in. ^^; We ate dinner on the club level suite, and then we got back to our seats just in time for the game. I loved our seats! Center ice, just at the right height to see everything!

One of the first, well, crazy things to happen was Gerber (the Ottawa goalie) getting hit in the mask with the puck. Luckily he was okay xD During the first period, it was a very well matched game and it seemed like neither team had complete control of the game. We seemed strong throughout the first, but Ottawa did as well. During the first intermission we went down to the Sabres store and I bought this cute little Sabres hat. We went back up to the 200 level and the second period began. Now this was a weird period. There were lots of penalties that SHOULD have obviously been called, and that pissed the crowd off a lot. One guy even shouted (I actually think this was during the first period) "I could see that goal from Rochester!" There were even a few little fights thrown in there by Peters. hehe. lol~ Ottawa started the period off by scoring 1 goal at the beginning of the second.
We tied it up a short time later, but eventually, into the 3rd period, it became 4-1 Ottawa. At that point I was pretty disappointed, but the Sabres ended up fighting really hard to make it 3-4. And that was AMAZING. At the end of the second we walked around the club level to get food, and take a peak at the half time show. The 3rd period was nice because the Sabres came back A LOT, and that was really exciting. At the end of the 3rd period, Ottawa ended up getting a penalty, and it seemed like this was our chance to score. The crowd was cheering like CRAZY, it was a fun thing to be a part of. Although the Sabres didn't end up scoring and Ottawa got an empty net goal...It was still an amazingly fun game to go to. =D

It was also really cool to go to my favorite player's 500th NHL game!!! (Max Afinogenov) haha
